Since it can be difficult to walk barefoot in cities and places that are concrete, these shoes fill the gap and allow you to barefoot around regardless of what you are walking on. The Vibram Five Fingers do an amazing job and protecting your feet despite there lightweight soles. This gives you the comfort of knowing your feer are protected yet you do not have to settle for a regular pair of shoes.

The reaction factor is another interesting thing about these shoes. Whenever you wear them out in public, you will often have people come up and ask you what type of shoes they are. This has happened to me many times in the grocery store or on the trail and it always makes me laugh.

The only downside I have experienced from the Vibram Five Fingers is the ability to keep your feet warm in colder weather. Since I have the sprint model, I have noticed my feet will sometimes get cold when I wear them in the fall or winter.

Luckily Vibram has come out with a few new models that have a thicker material and also come up higher on your foot. That way you can wear the Five Fingers all year round without worrying about your feet getting cold.
